Michael J. Hannan

Michael Joseph Hannan, 82 years young, of Lemont, passed away Wednesday, the 21st of January 2015.

Michael Hannan worked in the Central Parts Division of Clark Equipment Company in the southwestern Chicago area for 30 years. He was an active member of the VFW in Lemont and had participated for many years at the Open Pantry of the Lemont United Methodist Church. His loves were his family and friends.

He was born the son of Timothy and Aileen Hannan in Effin, County Limerick, Ireland. He served proudly in the Royal Air Force in England, before emigrating to the United States and the Chicagoland area. He was married to Anne Elizabeth Hannan.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Hannan) Slade; and son, Michael James Hannan. He is also survived by two brothers, Patrick and Bill; as well as his sister, Anne. He has a beloved son-in-law, Randall V. Slade. Also, a grandson, Weston V. Slade, and a granddaughter, Jamison E. Slade. Mike is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as countless nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

His memorial service will be Friday at 6:30 p.m. on the 20th of February, 2015, in Lemont at the United Methodist Church, 25 W. Custer Street. There will be no visitation. He will be interred in Old Union Cemetery, in Lincoln, IL, on Saturday, the 21st of February 2015.
