Mike and I became friends over the years as I got to know him through Kerry, whom I worked with. We all became especially close in retirement years as we volunteered with kitties at the city shelter, shared many pizzas, games of Mexican train, and talked about our travels. Each Friday we looked forward to lunch after our shift at the shelter, and Fridays just won't be the same without Mike. He was a dear and loyal friend, and I will miss him very much.
