Michael Robert Haupert, 67, of Manchester, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2022, at the side of his loving fiancée, Anita Crist, in Mexico, where they were to be married.
Over 25 years of active duty in the US Coast Guard, Mike earned many military honors. His subsequent work as a civilian contractor with the US Coast Guard and US Army continued his service, and he always provided his skills with honor and compassion. Mike volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, as well as donating blood bi- monthly to help those in need. He was truly a wonderful neighbor, serving as trustee, and giving his time weekly to mow their lawns when they could not. Mike was also a true Dog Whisperer, and fiercely loved all of his fur babies unconditionally.
Mike was the eldest brother of five siblings: Timothy Haupert, Jerome (Cyndi) Haupert, Louise “Mugsy” Haupert-Leddy (Bryan), Kathi Haupert-Zehender (Daniel), and Robert Haupert (deceased.)
Mike’s loving, blended family from marriages to Clara Schuessel-Haupert and Nancy Queathem-Haupert brought children Jeff Haupert, Carrie Haupert-Scranton (David), Stacy Haupert-Gillen (Robert), Alex Queathem-Payne (John), Lindsay Haupert, and Allison Haupert-Whitworth (Allen). He also has five beautiful grandchildren, Trenton Werner, Jake Scranton, Madi and Kylee Gillen, and Alex Whitworth. Missing him also are Mike's in-laws, Wayne and Martha Weaver.
Mike was dearly loved and will be missed by his extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, colleagues and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Mike would ask each of us to plant a tree or give blood in his honor.
