I was saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I worked with and played golf with Mike for several years and he was genuinely a pleasure to be with. Always upbeat, always smiling and always having something to add to any conversation; the kind of friend you always wanted to share time with. "God speed Mike, I know there are so many people back here at home that truly miss you."

Mike was a very thoughtful guy! He always sent Birthday cards to my sister and I even though we lived so far away! The last time we saw Mike was a reunion party in Lake Villa at my cousins! He came with Carol his sister on a long journey across states and then they were going to Rome City Indiana to see other relatives. Mike was always quick-witted and fun. See you in Heaven Mike!!!

My family moved to Slidell when I was 13 years old, and Mike's son Cary is one of my oldest friends. A lot of great memories from those years, and Mike and his family will always be a part of them. God bless the Havert family and deepest condolences for your loss.

We think it's true when they say Life is really a journey, and it's not always easy to know what maps to trust or what to take on that trip. But whatever the weather and wherever the road leads, we think the best possible traveling advice would be to bring a friend. We are so thankful we had the pleasure of sharing part of our life's journey with Mike. Ted & JJ Roberts
