Jill and family,
I only knew Michael from afar but loved the retelling of the family stories and Michael's observations. I wish that I had known him better.
He seemed to be a lamb among the wolves...

I will always remember my soccer coach and friend of many, many years. He was such a loving person and so dedicated to our teams. He was so positive and a great influence on all of us. My memory is flashing back to all of our soccer tournaments and Silly String celebrations. This news makes me have a heavy heart today. Keeping the Heenan family in my thoughts.

Well Jill and Siobhan, your handsome, articulate and intelligent son and brother did Michael proud. He was certainly captured in the obituary and is chuckling right now. Love and peace to you all, glad I knew him.

Aloha Jill, Siobhain and Torin. Lynn Holland passed on the news of Mikes' passing. Our condolences to you. I will always cherish the connection our family had with yours and recall so warmly our soccer times together. It was a privilege to serve as his coaching assistant the year I was on duty. Blessings to you all.

I remember my uncle Michael visiting from California one Christmas, when we had just gotten an Atari 2600. Michael stayed up all night playing Pong and Blackjack. By the next morning, he had used his math skills to beat the house at Blackjack, and found a spot to put the Pong paddle and always beat the computer. He schooled me in chess by repeatedly beating me, but I always came back for another lesson. I will miss his him.

Our thoughts of Michael are all good ones. Michael always made us laugh. His talents were endless, he could catch a fly in his hand.....the insect kind, he was a pro at chess and he was an incredible soccer coach to hundreds of kids. He was the best "monster" ever, and when he played monster it was hard to believe that it really was Michael, he was that scary. I have never had a conversation with Michael where he didn't make me laugh. He didn't have a mean bone in his body, and his best...
