Not sure what to say?

Mike Henderson was a brilliant and omnicompetent biology teacher and basketball coach in the Tenafly schools in the early and mid 1960’s —who created the famous basketball team of the high school class of 1967. He will never be forgotten

So sad to hear of your loss. May you all find peace and comfort in the days to come. Please take care of yourselves and each other. Blessings,John Ross

Michael, I miss you already. Thank you for allowing me to be your friend over the years and I learned from you. Your visits and talks will remain with me forever. God needed a clock keeper and selected the best. I am thankful that I got to see you last week. Little Zoey and Mary, along with Behr, Jose and myself will see you again. Rest my friend !

Back in 63 when coach was 29, he was inspiring many a future young man socially, academically & athletically at Tenafly Junior High. From teaching adolescent life lessons to inspiring future biologists, to making sure you only did perfect pick & rolls in professional high top Cons at Saturday Morning Hoops, Mike made sure he took time to inspire all he met. We have all been shaped by this MAN.

We had some great battles coaching against each other. Your teams were so good defensively. RIP MIKE

My condolences to the family. A great man, always fathering, teaching, and coaching, he will be missed.
