Not sure what to say?

Michael pops into my mind from time to time, and I remember his thoughtfulness above everything. He was kind to me when a personal crisis created havoc in my life, and he was the only person who had ever expressed his appreciation of my spelling! So I loved working with him, and was sad although completely understanding when he moved away to be closer to his kids. I was on holidays from my job at Shaw Red Deer, and was in the middle of the Capilano Bridge when my phone rang. It was Michael,...

Very sad to hear the world has lost such a joyful soul; a guy with a big heart and a happy face. Who can forget that giggly laugh? Mike - I didn't know you well but you're a bright star in my mind's eye...still shining out there somewhere I'm sure. We'll miss you.

I was saddened to hear of Michael's passing. While I never worked with him directly, we worked out of the same office and chatted all the time. He had a great sense of humour and was always a blast to bounce ideas off of.

We'll all miss him.

Shocked and saddened by the loss of a great guy. A friend, mentor and colleague.

I've known Michael to be a kind and gentle person. We at Shaw Multicultural Channel will surely miss him. RIP Michael. Maria Lawrence (Vancouver,BC)

I was both saddened and shocked to hear the news of Michael Herringer's passing. I met him and dealt with him many times at Shaw Multicultural Channel, and he was a really nice and kind person. I met him at SMC during work and at the Shaw 30 years Celebration Party, where I took lots of pictures with Michael and my co-workers, and senior producers Sandra Murphy and Norman Wong. My deepest condolences to Michael's family, co-workers and friends. God Bless his beautiful soul!

Michael, you were my boss for my first full-time job in tv production, at CFCN TV in the mid-eighties. You had quite a challenge keeping us young and exuberant creative types in hand , but you did it with such a light touch, filled with kindness and nurturing. You were an absolute dream to work for. Michael, your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings to you on your new journey...

Mr. Michael H. was a very appreciative and kind person. He was the one who appreciated me when I wrote that SMC is what makes Vancouver a unique city during their 30th anniversary. My condolences to the family.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Michael's passing. I had the chance to work with him during his time at Shaw in Vancouver. I will remember him fondly as someone that was dedicated to the job and a creative leader. That someone with the ability to provide a great sense of humour to the task at hand.
