Not sure what to say?

Our mom Betty (O'Malley) Moran was a first cousin to your grandfather, Fahey. As kids, all of us Moran's remember the stories of Mona and Mike Hickey and our south side distance relatives. My mom wishes to express her deepest condolences on the loss of such a wonderful man. Our most heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

To Mike's kids, Larry, Mike and Cathy--I want to extend my condolences upon your father's passing away. Mike was a good friend of mine over the years, and I always found him to be kind and generous when others were in need. I am sure he is happy in heaven with your mother. I am sorry about not being at the funeral. Unfortunately, I heard the sad news after your father's funeral. He will be in my prayers. Sincerely,

Dear Larry, Mike and Cathy,

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I wish I could have been there with my Mom for you. Uncle Mike was always wonderful to me and he will always be in my heart. He tried to keep the entire family in contact, and I hope we can continue that tradition for him.

Though I had only met him several times, my father worked at Oak Forest Hospital and was proud to call him a friend. I do know he loved participating in the wedding in Ireland recently and that he was proud of his family. May he and Mona smile a blessing down...

Dear Larry, Mike and Cathy,
When I think about growing up and my fond memories of 79th and Troy Street, my most favorite adults were your folks. They were always so interested in what the Callahans were doing and you always left the Hickey household feeling so good.
All of the Callahans are so sorry about your Dad. Your Dad was a wonderful, funny, caring person and a terrific Grandpa, too, and...
