Michael Hinton

Mike and I first met and became instant best pals in Liberal, Kansas in 1950, when the Hintons lived on 2nd Street. When they built the beautiful graystone on upper Jordan, Mike had a drum room in the basement. Guests would end up down there, being amazed at Mike's performances. He was a pro-level drummer even at that early age. Decades later, Mike gave me a tour of the law offices in Houston. Mike taught my Texas penal code class in the Houston police academy in 1975. Later in private practice did some work for me. A man of passion about the law, one of the good guys ! RIP

Love hearing stories about Papa. Thinking of you today and missing you never goes away.

Was just thinking about Mike tonight. Had no idea he had passed in 2020. What a real, honest, jovial and overall wonderful person. Was a client of his, and spent a lot of time with him in those days. He had a lot of stories to tell, and was always focused on, and interested in helping others. Thank you Mike for all you have done for me and my family. Im eternally grateful. You and your family are in my prayers.

One of my best friends was listening to a podcast right before Halloween (on the candyman) and heard "DA Michael Hinton". She called me and said "isn´t that your Papa???" Missing you a lot today!!! Love you Papa!!!

I first met Mike in our early childhoods in Liberal, Kansas when I was 8 years old and he was nine. We were best friends from the moment we met and have retained that relationship through the balance of our lives. I sent him birthday greetings today, April 19, 2021. Realizing I hadn't heard from him recently, I Googled him and am heartbroken to learn of his passing. I am blessed to have had him for a dear friend for 70 years. I'm thankful for that. I love you Mike!

He was genuine and honest as possible. He is missed.

I first met Mr. Hinton while I was working in the old industry. He officed in the same building as my company and was very good friends with my employer. Some years later my husband was falsley accused of a crime. My old employer told me to call Mr. Hinton. The DA kept Gary in jail for 6 months trying to get him to plead guilty.
