Michael Alan Hitt

Michael Alan Hitt, 37, of Castleton, died on Friday, December 7, 2012.

He was born on July 30, 1975, in Culpeper, to Shirley Ann Hitt and the late James Harrison Hitt. Michael was a lifelong resident of Rappahannock County. He was a very caring person how loved his family and friends. He loved to laugh and make people smile and enjoyed all types of music. Michael learned his talent of landscaping from his uncles and the love of trees from his father. He is already missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Hitt; his son, Michael James Reid of Ben Venue, Virginia; one brother, James Stewart of Castleton; two sisters, Lisa Ann Releford and her husband, James, of Madison and Misty Lynne Wright and her husband, David, of Woodville. Additional survivors include two nephews, Cory Releford and Luke Releford, both of Madison; one niece, Holly Hitt Castleton; one great-grand niece, Cameron Lynn Yake of Castleton; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Hillcrest Memory Gardens with the Reverend John Lines officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. I had not seen you since we were in school, but I remember you always enjoyed a good laugh and so did I. I always thought you were a really nice guy. My condolences and prayers go out to your family.
