I’m sorry to read that Michael Z. Hobson has died at the age of 83. Although being remembered for his management role at Marvel Comics in the eighties and nineties, Mike had an amazing reputation that followed him throughoutthe comics world! Mike was a great mentor and role model for me in the comics business. He was, in the words of writer Harlan Ellison, "a mensch". His dry wit and astute insights were a breath of fresh air. His fair dealings, in a business not always known for them, set him apart.

I am so sorry to learn of Mike’s passing and send my sincerest sympathy to Ann and the rest of his family.

He was the best boss I ever had, one of my best friends and one of nicest people I've ever known. Kate and Sarah, I'm so sorry for your loss. Please reach out to me when you get a chance so we can discuss how Marvel can properly honor your Dad.
