Hoefer, Michael P. --Of Medford, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 29, 2023. He was 60 years old.
Born in Stoneham and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Edward P. and Rita F. (Cole) Hoefer. Michael had a successful career as a Market Analyst at Fidelity Investments until his retirement. Michael enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas to try his luck at the casino. He also enjoyed animals and his scratch tickets or as he would call them his scratchies and wrestling.
He was the beloved brother of Michele Dolson and her husband Terry of Medford. He was the devoted uncle of Terry Dolson IV and his wife Gellica of Woonsocket, RI, Zackary Dolson and his wife Tina of Billerica, and Alison Dolson of Medford. Loving great uncle of Terry Dolson V. Also survived by many loving friends and extended family members
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 7th in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 6:30PM.
Interment will be private.
