Michael Hopper

CHARLESTON COUNTY HOPPER, MICHAEL JOSEPH Michael Joseph Hopper, "Hopper", age 35, of North Charleston passed away February 15, 2009 in a local hospital. Born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey on July 24, 1973, he was the son of Melvin and Bess Lilly Hopper of Hanahan. Michael was a 1991 graduate of Hanahan High School. He was employed with Nucor Steel Berkeley in Huger, South Carolina on the D Crew. He was an avid bowler, Carolina fan, NASCAR enthusiast, and all around fun loving guy. He loved nothing better than trying new recipes and cooking. He had a love for drawing and art. He was of the Baptist faith. Michael will be sadly missed by his fiancé, Jennifer Minor or North Charleston, his mom and dad, Melvin J. Hopper and Bess Lilly Hopper of Hanahan, his sister Kim Stoner and husband, Joel Stoner, niece, Jenna Stoner, nephew, Trey Stoner, and paternal grandmother, Emma Dougherty. He is also survived by two daschunds, Hunley and Rutledge Hopper. He also had many of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. A memorial service is planned for February 21, 2009 at 2 o'clock at Remount Baptist Church.
