My father & mother became friends with Mr & Mrs Howland in the early 70s. To me Mr Howland was larger than life,, friendly outgoing & joy to be with I shoveled his walk& he was quite generous. Our families went to Martha´s Vineyard, they took me skiing & from 72 to .74 our families would go to Jimmy´s Harborside at Christmas time where we would eat drink & be merry they are some of my fondest memories of the 20 years we spent in Winchester.
