Michael Ray Irvine

We are so sad to learn of Mike´s passing. He fished with Dave for many years. I actually looked forward to shuttling them at the beginning of their day because Mike was so pleasant to talk with. He was a good listener and had interesting stories to tell. I´ll always remember he taught me that the tower of rocks I liked to build at the river are called Cairns - markers for a sacred place or memorial. Thank you for everything, Mr. Irvine. We will miss you.

I remember so well how the Irvines took me in my first? Thanksgiving in Southern California as a young adult, in what must have been 1985 or 1986. I remember my outfit, and I remember being overwhelmed (in a good way) by the freeways. I remember your generosity and that your house had been owned by Cher´s mother. LOL. And I remember really appreciating knowing that I had a home away from home to go to. Thank you. I am so sorry for Mike´s leaving us. Time is a funny thing, but it seems way too...
