I had the honor of meeting Michael while he was home on leave a while ago, I believe his mother had been ill. My son was active duty in Iraq at the time and I had gotten Michael's name from a soldier website for a pen pal. I met Michael and Eli at a McDonald's in BC and he gave me insight and comfort about my son's tour. Michael's face lit up everytime he looked at Eli, there was no doubt that Michael loved his son and family but he also loved doing what he did. ...
