I had the honor of meeting Michael while he was home on leave a while ago, I believe his mother had been ill. My son was active duty in Iraq at the time and I had gotten Michael's name from a soldier website for a pen pal. I met Michael and Eli at a McDonald's in BC and he gave me insight and comfort about my son's tour.
