My dearest son in law and the father of our two grandsons has worn a metal ID bracelet with Mike Medder's name on it ever since I've known him. I remember this date, so special to him and you, each year. His name is Steven Lybeck LeForge. May Mike's memory be a blessing.

I grew up in Avon Lake having graduated in 1975.
I read quite a bit about Captain Medders tonight. He gave up his life to protect our freedoms and way of life.
I salute Captain Medders and all of our fallen soldiers for their patriotic service and ultimate sacrifice.
May his family find comfort in knowing he will never be forgotten.

Hard to believe its been 5 years today. You were the finest Officer I have ever known. It was a privilege to serve with you, see you at Fiddlers Green. Until that day. Brave Rifles.

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Medders Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. ...

Well, I'm stuck here at work and I found myself talking about Mike (out loud) for the first time in years. RIP, Mike. See you on the other side.
