JOHNSON, Michael C. - Of Royal Oak, formerly of Grand Blanc, age 29, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 12, 2003 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Rev. Jim Reid officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Visitation 4-9PM Friday at the funeral home. Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on January 30, 1974. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School and the University of Michigan studying Mechanical Engineering. Michael was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He loved engineering, motorcycles, fast cars and trout fishing. Michael was employed with Ford Motor Company as a product development engineer. Surviving are his parents, Philip and Diane Johnson of Grand Blanc; brother, Daniel of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandmother, Esther Johnson of Austin, Texas; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
