Not sure what to say?

This was a sad day for myself and my husband Larry when Marilyn called and told us Mike had passed away. Every time we came to Portland we got together with them and always had a great time with lots of laughter. We will miss him so much but will get to spend eternity together. Nancy and Larry Schwantes

I am signing this for my deceased husband, John Van Metre. John spoke of Mike often. My condolences to Mike's family. Yes, there is no place like being in the Lord's hands. Connie Van Metre

As you can see, Swanie signed it earlier. The first time I really remember seeing Mike was at Mom's on her porch at the dinner table. I walked through the porch door and thought Dad had come down from Heaven. The resemblance was so uncanny. After Mike passed, Swanie said that Mike was the greatest guy he knew after my father. It was a very profound statement from my husband. Mike and I shared the crazy flight anxiety and the 4-legged animal crossing the interstate at Forsythe. It kept getting...

Mike was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He and Marilyn always served and loved others in our church. They always helped those who had needs and truly exhibited God's love. Mike had a kind heart and served His Lord well. Thanks for being a joyfilled brother and friend to all of us who knew and loved you. Dick and Judy S.

Mike and I worked together at RMI and Roush. I will always remember him taking down phone numbers at the end of RMI so he could keep in touch. I was unable to come to the memorial today but my thoughts are with you. Mike was a nice man and a good friend.

I worked with Mike at Roush for the last 3 years; he was a kind, generous, and hard working man who always had a smile and a joke ready. He will be missed by all of us.

My condolences to Mikes Family,I worked with Mike at PMT in Portland And we did some Deer hunting in those years, sad to say but gone way to early,RIP Mike.

I worked with Mike at Roadway for 20 plus years. One of the best guys I ever met, when the job got hard Mike would make it easy. Rest in peace Mike

Worked with Mike at PMT for several years. No doubt in my mind that Mike was one of the hardest workers, one of the best people I've known. I considered him a friend. Mike will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him. Rest in peace.
