Not sure what to say?

Hi Mrs. Kahn, I am sorry for your loss,. My husband was a big fan of your husband's. Please take care and let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Kim

Dearest Jo Ann, Andrue, Sarah and Ava,

Our thoughts are with you. We remember so many good times, laughs and serious discussions with Mike at the holiday dinners or parties at Paul and Beth's. The last time we saw him was at Kassie and Mike's place. It just doesn't seem possible that he is gone so soon!

We had no idea of all the accolades he earned. He was never pretentious in any way which makes our memories of him even more amazing. We will miss him and we hope that good...

Jo Ann,
My condolences to you, your children and the rest your family. I'll never forget the kindness that you and Mike extended me when I was in Ft. Lauderdale for a job interview back in '96. I've always been grateful to Mike for trying to help me out during that period between jobs. Mike was great to work with on our roundtable shows at FSN and most importantly he was a sincere and caring person who's passion for life and career will be missed.

Sincerely,

I worked with Mike at the Jefferson City Times (MO) back in about 1980 or so. We were all pretty young and just getting started. He was a great co-worker....full of life and laughter. He had an infectious love of sports, journalism and people. I have't kept in touch since we left the paper but have thought of him often through the years. I am saddened to hear that he has left us but reading about him and thinking about him, once again, has brought a smile to my face.

Judy and Billy - what can I say? Words can't express how sorry I am. I never met Mike's wife, but my condolences to you and your family.
My thoughts are with you diuring this difficult time.

Mike was a friend of mine going back to Jefferson City, Missouri. He was a good journalist, a good friend and always an inspiration. I will miss him and wish to convey my deepest condolences to his family.

We worked with Mike in Birmingham, then ran into him over Colts-Steelers meetings, SportsLine days and, most recently, the Seahawks-Steelers Super Bowl XL. Every time we saw one another, it was an instantaneous resumption of a close friendship. Mike had two great loves in his life, family and journalism. There was never any question which to him was more important, more fulfilling, more vital -- like breathing. But he was so good at both loves. Our thoughts and prayers are with you,

Mike had the rarest combination of infectious enthusiasm for his personal life and professional life. He was a joy to work for and interact with. His loss is a giant one but he gave everyone so much while he was here.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers. I knew Mike from his days with The Birmingham (AL) News, covering preps and the pro football team in town at that time. We've had so many I can't remember which one it was. But I remember Mike as a great guy.
