Not sure what to say?

A poem for MIKE:

Words cannot express
The sorrow that we feel
We just can’t believe it
This is all so unreal

You were an exceptional man
And everybody’s friend
Always a dedicated worker
A helping hand you’d always lend

We will miss your smiling face
And your laughter too
You were taken away too soon
There was so much left to do

We know if you could tell us
You...

Mary Beth,

Although I haven't seen either of you in 15-20 years, I was stunned to hear the news. Words fail me. I can only paraphrase a famous quote to express my feelings. "I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost..."

I found out about Mike's death recently and was shocked and deeply saddened. I think the last time I saw Mike was at his Bachelor Party over 16 years ago. We had a lot of great times together back in the old days and I'll always remember them fondly. My deepest condolences to Mike's family for this untimely and unfair tragedy. My thoughts are with all of you.

Mary Beth,

I grew up about 2 blocks from Mike. He was my friend, and we shared many good times together. I have nothing but fond memories.

I have spoken and emailed with many of our old co-horts, and to a man, everyone of them expresses their sadness and condolences, as well as their prayers for you and your family.

Sincerely,

Mary Beth,

I was saddened to hear of Mike's death. Mike was my best friend in high school/early college. He was the kindest, most generous person that I have ever met. My heart goes out to you and your family. Although I haven't seen Mike in about 20 years, I have no doubt that he was a great husband and father. He always had such an easy nature and great sense of humor.

May God bless you and keep you strong during this time. Just know that Mike is watching over you and your families. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers. What I think of when I think of Mike is that he was a good father to his children. When ever we were together a family gatherings he would always give MaryBeth time to relax and socialize. He would watch and play with Emily and Mitchel you could see that he loved them very much. Mike will surely be missed.

Dear Mary Beth, Pual and Anne,

I was shocked to hear about Mike. He was my first best friend. We grew up together and I consider him a brother to me. He will surely be missed.

My deepest sympathies.

Our prayers are with you. May God help you during this most sad time.

Our deepest condolences are with you all.
