CADES -- Michael David Kirby, 50, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at Carolinas Hospital System in Lake City.
Mr. Kirby was born in Cades, a son of the late Eugene Talmadge and Emmie Covington Kirby. He was owner/operator of Kirby's Machine Shop, a member of Floyd's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was President of Men Fellowship and was President of Hebron Saddle Club.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Powell Kirby of Cades; one son, Michael David "Mikey" Kirby of Cades; two daughters, Pamela Marie Kirby of Cades and Michelle Dennison of Lake City; five sisters, Kathy Kirby (Ronny) Cox of Cades, Janice Kirby (Wesley) McCutcheon of Lake City, Judy Kirby (J.W.) Brown of Sumter, Dianne Kirby (Mack) Miles of Sardinia and Blanche Kirby (Neese) Moore of Lynchburg; one brother, Ronald (Belvadeen) Kirby of Cades; one granddaughter, Cortney Dennison of Lake City.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in the Floyd's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
