Michael J. Knight, 49, of 251 Pine St., Gardner, formerly of Clinton, died Friday, July 27, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Melissa A. "Missy" (Windward) Knight; a son, Alex J. Knight of Gardner; two daughters: Teri A. Knight of Indiana and Debbie Varnum of Portsmouth, NH; his mother, Alice E. (Saunders) Brothers Knight, of Clinton; three brothers: John H. Brothers of Warwick, RI, Robert F. Brothers of Clinton and Paul M. Brothers of Worcester; a sister, Margaret E. Parsons of Port Charlotte, FL; a daughter-in-law, Holli Vinsel; three grandchildren: Nevaeh, John and Natasha; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, David A. Brothers, who died in 2000.

Michael was born and raised in Clinton, son of the late Malcolm J. "Red" Knight. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1981.

Michael was employed as a Process Technician for Anderson Power Products, Sterling. Previously, he worked for Solo Cup in their North Andover & Leominster locations, for many years.


He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling, and playing 'Dungeons & Dragons'.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm at the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. Burial will be private. Flowers may be sent, or for those who wish, donations may be made in memory of Michael, to a charity of one's choice.

Missy we are so sorry for your loss. There are many memories of our years working together with Mike at solo which we will cherish.

I worked with Mike at Solo.He was upbeat person and he will be missed.

I worked with Mike at Solo, North Andover and I am deeply saddened, and devastated by his passing. I cannot comprehend why this has happened. It is with deepest sympathy that my heart goes out to his family, friends and to everyone whose life was touched by Mike. I will never forget you Mike. You will live in my heart forever.

I remember fondly the many years we worked together at Solo and though I hadn't seen him since, I still have very many good memories of our working together.
