Michael Kovalevich, Jr., 70, of Bangor, PA, passed away Friday, July 30th, at his residence.
Michael was born in New York City, NY on July 4, 1951, a son of the late Rosemarie (Furman) and Michael Kovalevich, Sr.
He was the Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Slate Belt Veterans Assoc. in Bangor, PA. Michael proudly served in the U.S. Marines and in the U.S. Army as a medic in the Army Rangers.
Michael is survived by a sister, Roslyn Orofino, two half-sisters, Robin and Marcia Kovalevich, two half brothers, Mark and Paul Kovalevich
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Slate Belt Veterans Assoc., 804 Heiden Road, Bangor, PA 18013.
