Michael P. Kowalchuk

SHELTON: Michael P. Kowalchuk, age 40, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on August 18, 2018, at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Heather Martineau Kowalchuk.

     Mike was born in Bristol, CT on January 23, 1978, son of Gary and Sybil Baumann Kowalchuk of Sparta, TN. He was employed as a flooring installer at Carpet City in Fairfield. Mike was hard-working, creative and always willing to help others. He was a huge animal lover and enjoyed working on cars and small machinery.

     In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, John Kowalchuk (Kim) and Daniel Kowalchuk of Avon, a sister, Sarah Jane Kowalchuk-Bilbrey (Drew) of Hilham, TN, mother-in-law, Bernadette Martineau of Shelton and brother-in-law, Erik Martineau (Melissa) of North Haven.

     Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mike’s funeral service and celebration of his life on Saturday August 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Reclaim Christian Church, 11 High Acres Road in Ansonia. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me account has been set up to help with expenses under the name Heather Kowalchuk. Rest in peace Mike. I loved you then. I love you still. My life will never be the same without you in it. Your fight is over. Rest easy, love Heather.
