Not sure what to say?

I had Mr. Kurent as a history teacher a CCC.He was a wonderful guy who always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed.

I was fortunate to see Mike once more at our high school reunion in September. The distance is great but the friendship was still there...from St. Michael's through high school. My deepest sympathy to Mike's siblings and family members.
May God bless you and keep you in this time of sadness.

Mr. Kurent was our history teacher at CCC. We have fond memories of his encouraging words and his love for teaching. He will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

ALthough I didn't have Mr.Kurent as a teacher, I passed him in the hall nearly everyday of my four years at IHS. Never once did I pass Mr.Kurent without him smiling, greeting me by name, and asking how I was.
I have never met a man with such integrity. Mr.Kurent treated his students with respect and lived a life of love. He truly cared about the students of IHS and it showed.
He has inspired me and many others. He has taught me so much about life, love, and integrity just by the brief...

Mr. Kurent was a great teacher. I had the honor of being one of his students at both Urban Community and Central Catholic. My deepest sympathies go out to his family. I know he will be missed by many.

My sincere sympathies to your family. My brother Mickey shared with me his visit with Mike and your family. My prayers are with you.

God Bless,

Mike was a "class guy". We shared a lot more than just the Independence Athletic Hall of Fame together. Mike was there for support when our daughter Allison was tragically killed in 2000. We shared in some great converstions and stories over the years. You tried to make the most of every day. Some of those days were very tough. We will miss you Mike! Rick Kuczmarski & family

We so enjoyed working with Mike at IHS. He was always such a gentle man. We spent lots of lunches talking about growing up "north of Rockside" together and keeping up with each others families. Mike was an awesome guy. His memory will be cherished. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kurrent family.

Mr. Kurrent was my favorite teacher both at UCS and at CCC. I remember when I was in the eigth grade and he asked me what high school i decided to go to and when I told him Central Catholic he looked at me and smiled and said I'll see you next year. I was so happy to know that he would be there for a big step in my life cause high school can be very scarry. Then in 1996 I graduated from Central I came back to the school for the last day, and I walked in to Mr. Kurrents room crying and I...
