I met Michael in 1986 when my first wife and I moved into the second-floor apartment of a two-story white frame house on Second Street in Elmhurst run by Mary Welsh. Mrs. Welsh didn't mention to us that Mike had a small apartment downstairs, so when mail came to our mailbox addressed to him, we sent it back to the Post Office, figuring it was for the previous tenant.
