Lanza, Michael J. Jr. ?Irish?--51, Of Wakefield, formerly of Peabody where he was raised, passed away suddenly on January 3, 2015.
Michael was the beloved son of Michael J. Lanza, Sr., his wife Maureen (Doody) of The Villages, FL, and the late Mary (Bonia). He was the loving brother of John O?Toole and his wife Cheryl of Haverhill, Patrick Lanza and his wife Christine of Stoneham, James M. Lanza of Somerville, and Matthew T. Lanza of CA. Michael was also the dear uncle of 4 nieces and nephews and is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Calling Hours will be held at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq) in Somerville on Sunday, January 11, 2015, from 1-5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. A Funeral Mass will take place Monday morning, January 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
Michael was a veteran of the US Army, Grenada.
