Michael was his own one man show. Intellectual, big presence, kind, considerate, gentle with a bite and loyal to locally owned businesses with his little pup companion always by his side. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. He will surely continue to walk through our cafe doors in spirit if I know him as I do.

Thanks for this great obit. I benefitted from Michael’s devotion to life enhancing classes for ordinary people when I wanted to learn photography in the 1980s. What a great man; we didn’t know how much he had done.
