Not sure what to say?

Michael and I made many lasting memories together including skiing in Snowmass, partying in the basement of his house, his dad trying to teach us to play bridge, his aunt teaching us to dance, and the trouble we got into with me on the back of his motor scooter. Michael was a dear friend and I am saddened to hear this unexpected news. My sympathy goes out to to his whole family. David Kiersky

Michael was a fantastic person, always friendly and upbeat about everything. He was truly a joy to be around. I will miss not seeing him on the golf course. I believed he lived (and enjoyed) life to the fullest. He will definitely be missed.

Very sad news! Michael contributed many great things to Memphis! My thoughts & prayers go out to Joanie & his family!

I was very lucky to be next door neighbor to Michael and Joanie and their children for many years. Michael will be missed by so many. A great man! My deepest condolences to his family. So sad.

Michael and I had been friends for many years through both the old Racquet Club and Ridgeway Country Club. My office and his were next to each other. I had the pleasure of introducing Joanie to Michael some 40 years ago. He was a good man, and I pray that he will rest in peace.

I am so sad to hear the passing away of a good friend while living in Memphis up until my wife Gail and daughters moved back to my birthplace Dallas in the middle 90´s! We have now been living in LA for the pass 30 years! I use to be friends with Michael while being a member at Ridgeway Country Club in town and further out east! We even went to some concerts at the Coliseum! I know I will miss his fabulous person- laity! Rest in peace my friend and our Condolences go out to the Lightman...

So saddened by Michael' s passing. A great man from a great family. R.I.P. my friend. Rick Stein & Diana Stein

Michael was a bright friendly next door neighbor for many years. With Joanie and the kids, Michael, Adam and Ainsley, he brought many happy times to our family. Everyone knows what a kind generous man he was and his memory will always shine bright in our eyes. Benlyn, David Wade, Sr., and family.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the entire Lightman and Tashie families. May Michael rest in peace and his name and memory be for a blessing. Myrna and Reena Graber
