Waterford - Michael Patrick "Mike" Lloyd, 68, of Waterford, passed away Nov. 27, 2021, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with numerous health conditions. Mike was born in New London, Sept. 18, 1953, to Phillip and Fay Lloyd.

Michael worked in banking for many years before becoming a supervisor in the credit department at Foxwoods until his retirement.

He took great pleasure in spending as much time with his family as possible. Michael was the biggest supporter of everything that his children participated in. He camped with the Boy Scouts and attended sporting and school events around the state. His favorite family vacation was to Ireland where the family found their castle. Mike was proud of his Catholic faith, attending Saint Bernard School and Assumption College. Mike and his children were longtime members of St. Thomas More Church in North Stonington, where he served as director of religious education.

Michael was predeceased by his father Phillip Lloyd Jr. Michael will be deeply missed by his mother Fay Lloyd; son Patrick Lloyd; daughter Tara Davis (Josh); his sister Kerry Evans (Scott); sister Kathy Lloyd; niece Katie Kernozek (Tracy); nephew Michael Evans; and great-niece Teagan; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Jimmy Pero, Michael's caregiver and friend, for his last few months, for the care and support that he provided. The family also thanks Dr. Frazer, the Lawrence + Memorial ICU team and DaVita for their care of Michael.

Michael's family invites relatives and friends to a Catholic Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, 22 Haigh Avenue, Niantic, with reception to follow.
