Michael Robert David Lucas

Please accept the heartfelt sympathies of the entire Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) community. We are honored that we were able to be part of Michael's journey and deeply saddened by this loss of one of our alumni family.

As his next door neighbor I wish I had more time to get to know Mike. I enjoyed learning about his music interests & watching bats across the street with him. So sad to learn of his passing. T&Ps for his friends & family.

I appreciated his ready helpfulness at the library and enjoyed our early morning conversations before the library opened, especially remembering those about hiking and camping in our favorite areas of the U.P. and elsewhere. I knew about his interest and talent in musical arts, but didn't know about his other art! My sympathy goes out to his family.

Mike and I go back to the 70's. I still have a drawer with many of his early drawings. He was a kindred spirit, musician, artist, and the type of person the world needs more of. We had several musical experiences together and would talk for hours about music, humanity, God, and the condition of the world. I always enjoyed seeing Mike at the library, and he sure was a talented musician. How hard it must be for his family and friends to lose him so soon, it seems like he was just working at the library last week...
