LUCIW, Michael, 63, of Richmond, Va., passed away on October 21, 2009 after a long illness. He was born in Villach, Austria to Ukrainian parents and immigrated to the U.S. in 1951. He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and participated in many Ukrainian cultural activities. He is survived by his wife, Olga, of 39 years; sons, Michael and Gregory of Richmond; two sisters and two brothers. He worked for Baskervill & Sons, Hanover Engineers and was a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. He was one of the founding members of the Tidewater Ukrainian American Cultural Society and served as Humanitarian Aid Director. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Richmond. Private services were held in Youngstown, Ohio.
