Not sure what to say?

MIKE HAS BEEN GONE FROM THIS EARTH FOR YEARS NOW, BUT HE LIVES ON IN MY MEMORY AS THOUGH HE WAS STILL STANDING BY MY SIDE IN THE CHICAGO OFFICE AND THEN AFTER WE BOTH MOVED UP TO HEADQUARTERS. I LOOK FORWARD TO JOINING MIKE AT THE "BIG HEADQUARTERS", WHEN IT COMES MY TIME TO BE PROMOTED. BUCK EVANS

I am so sorry I did not hear of Mike's going home to be with our Lord. Kathy you know how much you and Mike meant to me. Too bad we were separated by 2000 miles. I lost Patti in 2012 to Alzheimers. God bless you for being a caring wife. God bless Mike for keeping up the good fight.

Dave and Sally Vander Zanden

Mentor, friend and neighbor with a warm wonderful smile and caring for all he met. Every once and a while in our lives we are graced with the presence of a person and family that have a truly positive effect on our lives. Such was the case with Mike his brother Tom, parents Liz and Bob Mader. Becoming an Eagle Scout would have never happened without Mike and Tom for which I am forever grateful. A full active life despite the effects of Parkinson's. My sympathies to Kathy and the boys. ...

Knew Mike from my many years at the Mead Inn. He was also a friend of my father's. Mike was a great guy and a real gentleman. Had many dealing with him at the Mead. Always enjoyed seeing him. So sorry for your loss. Jack Kurtz

Mike was a good man and one of the finest commissioned officers I ever knew. He had a special way to blend his education and intelligence with good old common sense. I lost contact after being discharged but I never forgot what a great guy he was. My sincere condolences to the Mader family. 1941-2018. That -(dash) represents the all that Mike accomplished for his family and others. May he rest in peace in the arms of our loving Savior.
