Michael A. Mainville, 64, of Newington, son of the late Valere Mainville, Sr. and Mafalda (DeNino) Foley, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He leaves his teenage sweetheart of 46 years, wife Francesca, his two beloved sons Michael C. Mainville and his wife Beverly, Marc A. Mainville, and Grampa's precious grandchild Michael Sebastian Mainville. Brothers predeceased are Thomas Foley and Valere Mainville, Jr. In addition he leaves brothers Ronald and Robert Mainville and his wife Carol, sister Linda Dufresne and husband Charles, and loving Aunt Josie DeNino. Michael also leaves his loving sister-in-law Luisa and husband Michael Augello, loving sister-in-law Loretta and husband James Atheneos, loving sister-in-law Amy Morgan and husband Jared. Michael served his country proudly, heroically, and courageously with the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. Michael fought valiantly during two combat tours at forward firebase Khe Sanh, as well as in the Ashau Valley during Operation Dewey Canyon with the Bravo 19, Charlie Company, 3rd Marine Division. Michael worked for the City of Hartford for 17 years until ill health prevailed. Besides much loved nieces, nephews, and cousins, we would like to mention Giovanni Augello, Mary Atheneos, Helen, Concetta and Patricia Tomaino, Dr. Marie Mammone, Jerry Foley, and mother-in-law Brigida Tomaino. Michael will remember everyone including childhood friends John Balesano and Phillip Calciano and his barber Joe Giuliano. Especially missed will be his wife's Italian cuisine and his beloved pets. Calling hours will be held at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 10:30am-12:00pm followed by religious services. A burial with military honors will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Ps 14 In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to either AMVets Regional Office Center in Hartford CT and/or the CT Humane Society.
