One of the things I am most proud of my grandfather was his patience. When he married my grandmother, Aelise, he took her two daughters from a previous marriage as his own. He then fathered Susan, my "little aunt." His service to his family, his country, and God were testaments to his loving heart.

Daddy Mike provided me with love and stability especially during my childhood. Many summers he welcomed me with open arms for visits that meant the world to me. He was always very attentive to my beloved grandmother, Aelise and adored his daughter, Susan and granddaughters Erin and Tera.
