When I and my family moved from Indiana Harbor to Gary in 1949, I met Mike. We lived across the street from each other on Buchanan St and attended St. Mark Church and were classmates at St. Mark elementary school. And, while Mike went to Lew Wallace High School and I attended Bishop Noll, we always remained close friends. I am saddened by the news of his passing and can only hope we'll be reunited in eternity.
