Not sure what to say?

Dana, and the family, once you moved from Colorado to Wisconson we missed you all dearly. We always kept up the Happening in your family thro Victor and Ann. Mike stays in our hearts as well as all of you. I pray 2024 brings you more healing. I always say we never get over losing a love one, with Gods help we learn how to cope was our loss. Love you all HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024

My deepest sympathy to the entire Martens family. I was fortunate to see Mike in October while visiting his sister. I got to accept a jar of his canned apples/pears during my visit and also toured his amazing farm. This loss will take a while to process and accept. May you all find some solace in how Mike lived his life. A true legacy he left behind. I am certain he is with his Dad, brother, nephew and brother in law. RIP.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard my friend passed. “Marty” was one of a kind, sincere, thoughtful and unselfish. God bless to Dana, the kids, Joyce and to all the people he touched during his life.

From Nurse Nuala,
With a Heavy Heart

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Mike, a dedicated food program volunteer, supporter, and overall community advocate.

To be honest, Mike has been my “rock” for the Nurse's Nook school-based food program in Oconto County since the day it began. I will truly be lost without him.

Mike got a food program off the ground in Lena and Coleman many years ago. In 2018, I too was looking to start a school-based...

My deepest condolences to the Martens family. May he Rest In Peace.

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

I've had to say good bye to too many great men in the last few years. "Cousin Mike" is at the top of that list. There really are no words that can do justice. So I'll just say that if there is anything that your family needs that I'm able to provide don't hesitate. I feel honored to have been able to call him a friend. My deepest condolences to your family.

I am so sorry to see this news. I will always remember that smiling face and that happy disposition. You were an amazing and unforgettable couple and I know he will be deeply missed by you and the girls. My deepest sympathy to Dana and the girls. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace Mike, a job well done in living a good life of service and love.
