Resident of Campbell, CA
Michael J. Masiello passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday January 18 surrounded by loved ones. He was 85 years old.
He was a graduate of Bellarmine Preparatory school and San Jose State University and served in the Naval Reserves.
Michael was a teacher and school administrator for 39 years and had a passion for working with and educating children. He was an entrepreneur, investing in several successful businesses. In his spare time, he built his own home from the ground up.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann. He is survived by his three children – Mike, John, & Joy – his three grandchildren – Rick, Monica, & Katie and sister Mary Bocciardi.
Visitation will take place between 2PM- 7PM on Jan 21, 2016 at Oak Hill Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday Jan 22nd, 2016 at St Christopher church at 11am with burial to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Masiello was principal at my elementary school, Millikin . He was kind and well respected among staff and students...I know he made it a priority to maintain personal relationships with the students..he was always seen on campus mingling with us kids! He was a true example of what a principal should be! Blessings to is family...

Just found out. I'm sorry. he was my principal from kindergarten to sixth grade. He was very nice and was wonderful to us as kids. May be rest in peace.

Mr. Masiello was my sons first principal when he began school at Pomeroy Elementary he helped me get involved with the PTA and I continued to enjoy volunteering through my sons entire school years. Mr. Masiello was a caring man he had the children's welfare in mind at all times! I am so sorry to hear this news of his passing and my prayers are with his family. Thank You Mr. Masiello!

Worked with Mike for 10 years in the 70's. Mike was one of the good guys. He had a great smile and laugh. He was one of the regulars on the Wilson JH staff when we played poker once a month. He became the VP a couple of years before I left. Sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed. RIP Mike.

I remember him being the Vice principal at Wilson Jr. High . He was the principal at Pomeroy elementary when my daughter was in kindergarten. He was a very kind hearted man to know. God bless his family.

Mike was a great guy. He walked me through being a teacher at Wilson in 1970. He had moved on to administration and I was privileged to succeed his postion in the plastics shop for 5 years. We bought our first home around the corner from him on Cabana and got to visit him often in the 70's. He was a blessing in our lives and will be missed. We just found this out or we would have been to the service.
