Here it is October 2017, I have been a fan of ATLF since day one,and remember that season 5 was dedicated to Michael , and now watching reruns of Alaska the last frontier ( at season 5),, I still have those heartfelt of emotions of sadness for his family and ATLF family,,I pray everyday that there is a heaven and he is at peace.,which I'm sure that he is,,Heaven gained a Great Man,,,,,, 43 years old ,way to young and way to soon, we will see him again,believe that,,God Bless to his family...

I want to express to the loved ones of Michael Masland that "Alaska The Last Frontier" is a beautifully produced and directed program with an authentic and lovely spirit. All who have made a contribution to this educational and highly family friendly show, must be grieving the loss of Michael. I just saw the dedication on season 5 of Alaska The Last Frontier. We too live in an idolated part of the country...the high country in the Colorado Rockies and don't have cable so we are behind in receiving this news. Our family sends its prayers for your continued healing snd want to thank you for sharing this gifted man with the world.

Just heard of Michaels passing. I live in the UK and saw the dedication of season 5 of Alaska the Last Frontier series 5 to Michael and just wanted to offer my condolences. His work has brought my wife and I great pleasure. Sorry for your loss.

RIP Michael. You produced an excellent show on Discovery -Alaska...The Last Frontier. I've watched this show for many seasons in United Kindom. You will be a very sad loss to your wife, children and family. But you will also be a sad loss to filming and the wider audience.
