Michael Joseph Matheson

Wow! I did not know him but I wished I had.. What an interesting life!! I am sorry for your loss and know that God just wanted him by his side. I spent many days doing what he did including a long period with the Durango Rotary club many years ago and my birthday was November 1st but the year was 1936. I am sorry for your loss I lost my wife this summer after 60 years and I still feel the hole in my heart!!

Mike Matheson was truly one of the good guys. I met him when he served on the 9-R Board of Education, and I will never forget his honesty, integrity, and friendship. His compassion and determination to do the right thing for the students and staff was remarkable. The world just lost a wonderful man.

Mike was such a kind person and a voice of reason and inspiration at our Rotary Club. His pride and love for his wife and children was always evident. Our condolences.
