Michael Mattia

Michael V. Mattia, age 70, of Media, PA, died at Riddle Memorial Hospital on March 17, 2022.  The beloved husband of Barbara Mattia (nee Marinelli) and son of the late Litterine (nee Berardinelli) and Michael Mattia. 

Born in Philadelphia, Michael spent his early years in the city before moving to Delaware County.  He attended Nativity BVM School and graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School in 1969.  He worked as a manager for Dynasty Corp. and Multi Family Living and was also employed by Delaware County.  Michael volunteered with Rose Tree Fire Co. and worked as an E.M.T. with Media Ambulance. 

Along with his wife of 43 years, Barbara, Michael is survived by his sister, Elaine Kurtz (Franklin) of Wilmington, DE, and nephew, Tommy Richter. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Nativity BVM (Franklin & Monroe Sts. Media, PA 19063).  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Mass at 11:00 am.  Burial will be private
