I remember sailing back from Put-in-Bay to Port Clinton with Mike and Debbie. The wind was strong so we sailed down the east side of South Bass Is. for cover. When we cleared the island, Blammo!, 35 knot winds and huge chop. At the helm, Mike spilled wind while Debbie shortened sail.
