I was one of the Peace Corps Volunteers stationed in Malawi in the early days. I had the distinct pleasure of working under the guidance of Mike McCone. We admired Mike, and were sad when he had to leave to serve in Malaysia. Several years ago, I organized the 50th reunion of our group's arrival in Malawi. We contacted Mike and he was planning to attend but had to back out at the last moment. Mike was kind enough to send us all a copy of his book, which helped us reflect on our Peace...
