It saddened my heart to hear of Dr. McDaniel's ill health and now, his passing. As a young PR specialist at LRC, Dr. McDaniel patiently worked with me to help better understand the issues close to his heart concerning ecumenism and the Center for Theology's place in that. A man of many, many accomplishments and with many friends all over the world, Dr. McDaniel made everyone he touched feel they were the most important person at that time.
