I grew up on Bidwell Ave with Mikey Mcfaul. My memory of Mike was playing sandlot baseball with him in the early 6o's, playing pick up football games, and watching him at little league games (3rd base!). Mike was a good man with a great sense of humor. I have not seen Mike since the '70's but have many good memories of him.

I remember Mikey McFaul like it was yesterday. I remember growing up on Bidwell Ave in JC playing sandlot baseball with Mike off Bayview Ave with neighborhood friends. Mike and I shared the same birthday, Feb 3, he was 2 years older. He was a good man.

I had the honor of knowing Mike and found him to be such a gentle, giving person. Very generous and inclusive of others. A genuinely warm, smart and kind person. Where he saw unfairness, he would try to right it.

The only time I witnessed Mike with a stern face was years later when he was working at a Yankee game and needed to address an unruly fan. The fan...

So many memories, all of them funny. Michael, you were truly a gift to many people and I count myself in that number. I'm sure Bobo met you at the gates and is "showing" you around.

I am priviledged to write with admiration about a true gentleman, Mike McFaul. Even while immersed in the toughness of Jersey City politics, Mike always maintained dignity, honor and a cheerful smile. Nothing could detract from his goodness. We will all miss a truly wonderful person.
Thank you Mike. I'm proud to have known you. Rest in Peace.
