Our Life Together

Douglas was the man I fell in love with when I was 17 years old at HHS(1970). We were married 34 years ago in Manheim, Germany and my memories of our life together are truly a treasure. We were rich with love and we have four wonderful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren. We all miss him tremendously and we want to thank all of you for your love, support kindness, cards, and flowers that were sent for him. His spirit, kindness, music, photographs and joy for life will remain in all of...

We would like to thank everyone with all our hearts for your condolences, prayers, and shared memories of Doug. He touched so many people in so many ways. It is so wonderful to know and acknowledge even in the midst of our deep sadness the richness that he brought to all our lives.

Doug was taken from us too early. He has now crossed that great divide, is free from his pain and turmoil, and is finally at peace. Please light a candle for him in remembrance and to guide him in...

My sincere sympathies to Doug's family. I was on the Heidelberg HS basketball team with Doug in 1964-65. Doug always seemed to be more mature and introspective than some of the rest of us. He was respected and well thought of by everyone. I was looking forward to seeing him at one of the HHS reunions. He will be missed by all.

The Estrada Kids....all went to school with the McFaul's Kids. Mimi, Mario, Jeff, Daniel and Anita. Our thoughts are with you and your family! Never have forgot our days in Heidelberg and never will!
Lots of Love and Peace Mimi Estrada

It is with great sadness that I have learned of the passing of Doug. I remember lots of good times just sitting and talking. I was always amazed at how he carried himself, his air of confidence, his genuine "niceness", and his desire to help a fellow classmate in need. I remember many fond times at "Fred's or the Sportzplatz" playing foosball. He will be greatly missed, by all that truly knew him. Rest in peace my friend. .

My heart goes out to all of you, Doug's familyand close friends, upon losing this person you so loved. I attended Heidelberg High with Doug in 1965.His loss will be felt by so many of us who shared our school days with him in Germany.

Barbara, Jen and family, Sarah, Mike and Ali,
I wish dearly that I could have been there with all of you to give you great big hugs. My heart is with all of you. I have loved hearing about all of the memories you have been sharing of old times and it makes me feel like I am there.
This guest book is beautiful and shows how many hearts doug touched throughout his life.
He is forever in our hearts.
Love, Aimee

I had Doug McFaul my first quarter at the Miami Ad School for InDesign (fall '04), and I remember with fondness his enthusiasm for the subject and to share his knowledge with us. Even more, I will remember his passion for photography. He loved sharing his photos from trips for us to use as we learned how to use the software, and encouraged me and others to pursue our artistic interests. My deepest condolences.

Doug is one of the few classmates from Hi Hi whom I remember really clearly....his charm, intelligence and good looks. He touched the lives of many and his loss is deeply felt, as attested to by this guestbook. I wish he were still with us.
