In the Irish manner I´m going to remember one episode in the life of Mike. In early April for the last 50 years a white water canoe race was held in the Tenandeho Creek near Mechanicville, NY. It´s a small creek but in April it usually has class 1,2 & 3 rapids; The length is 7.5 miles and ends just before the creek empties into the Hudson River. I met Mike back in the early 80s when we both were coaches at Westland Hills Little League. He was one of the nicest people I ever met. I was then lucky enough to work with him at the division for youth. Since our daughters are the approximate same age, we would reminisce about our little league days and talk about our kids. After I retired I was pleasantly surprised when I got a friend request on Facebook. We didn´t talk much, but it was nice when we did. He will be severely missed by...
