Not sure what to say?

I'm trying not to repeat anything Renee said, but he was always an encourager who had wise things to say. It'll be great to see him again someday in heaven, and maybe he'll get to ride a horse there, too :).

I knew him through Phyllis Schlafly's radio show which was taped at KSIV, and now we're in Texas because my husband is a chaplain with the Army. Mike always kept Chris in his prayers during his first deployment April 2009-April 2010, and we both appreciated that a lot.

Helen and I fondly remember Mike from our Killebrew-Prange & Associates days. He was with us thru both the good and not-so-good days. Wonderful man ... and a good friend. I hope to be at the service on Wednesday. Ray Killebrew

June 2007

This picture was taken when I first met Mike in 2007 at the Ponderosa Ranch. We spent hours riding next to each other, doing cowboy/girl things, praying, laughing and most of all talking while we were sitting outside the porch - looking upon the stars and wondering what else life has to offer. He opend up my mind about so many things, he was a father, brother and a good friend to me. Even though we lived so far away from each other, we managed to meet again with our friend Doug in 2009....

Mike on the right on one of his trips to our ranch

Mike was a guest at our ranch several times in the last seven years, and turned very quickly into a good family friend. He was a great encouragement to us, and a wonderful person to have around. Bruce and family: you will be in our prayers in the coming months...

Mike was a friend and brother for more than 20 years. He had a great love for the Lord and for the St. Louis community. He led the staff at KSIV for almost 20 years and brought KSIV and Bott Broadcasting to a new level winning awards and accolades for them along the way. Today, Mike has received his greatest reward as he walks with Jesus and wears a crown of righteousness, not because of his work but because of God's mercy and grace. Mike understood this mercy and grace and I know that...

I had the joy & privilege of working with Mike at Bott. I'm part-time there & during my week of training he was on vacation, but stopped in the station to do some work. He made sure to stop & say hello to me & talk a little bit. He recited a Bible verse to me & made me feel very welcome. I saw him during my shift every weekend & he always smiled & said hello to me. He would often give me things like Bott Radio Network coffee mugs & different types of hot chocolate along with paintings the...

I had the privilege to work for Mike at Bott Radio Network for 8 years as a Sr. Account Executive. I learned a tremendous amount of life lessons from him during those years - including the lesson that those things in life that are truly important are worth fighting for - even if people disagree with you or decide they don't like you anymore. This was a life lesson that I needed to learn and I can thank Mike McHardy for modeling this important leadership character quality. His imprint on my...

Mike helped me get Family Shield started on KSIV in 1996 when it began. He always said KSIV was a family and was a great friend. I am thankful for his faith in Christ and that he is now in heaven with the Lord. Kay Meyer
