Michael Robert "Mikey" McInnes

July 25, 1987 - Nov. 14, 2011

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our cherished son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.

He is survived by his mom and dad, Brenda & Roger McInnes, his brother, Kristopher (Terra Strachan) McInnes, Grandparents, Gracie (Ron) Bentley, Connie Bergen, Uncle Brent (Christine) Bergen and family, Uncle Bruce (Kristine) McInnes and family, Uncle Rob (Corine) McInnes and family, Aunt Donna (Dave) Cornich and family, Aunt Brenda Page. Further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He is predeceased by Grandparents, Abe Bergen, Robert & Ellen McInnes.

Mike was born and raised in Campbell River and worked for Holbrook Dyson Logging as part of the road crew.

Mike was actively involved in hockey and skateboarding, but his greatest happiness came form skateboarding, which he excelled at.

If he wasn't with his friends or family you could always find him at the Sportsplex Skate Park.

Mike could effortlessly bring happiness to everyone he knew with his friendly, kind hearted, inviting personality. Mike will be forever remembered for his warm smile, "don't care what you think" attitude and for being an unforgettable one of a kind original. Mike will be deeply missed by all his family and his many friends.

A celebration of Michael's Life will be held Sunday Nov. 20, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Eagles Hall, 1999 14th Avenue, Campbell River.

In lieu of flowers, donations for a memorial bench at the top of the bowl at the sportsplex skate park for Mike can be made to the Michael McInnes memorial account at the Coastal Community Credit Union in the Discovery Harbour.
